This is not a new Ghost Painted Sky album, but is rather a collection of a few of David's early, solo, pre-Ghost Painted Sky tracks. These are from back in the days when it was just David, a keyboard, drum machine, bass guitar, effects box, and an old cassette multitrack recorder.
These tracks are cold, dark, stark, and brooding...a kind of incindental soundtrack to winter; with washes of synth pads punctuated by icy, mechanical drum patterns, minimal bass guitar that is by turns as foreboding as storm clouds or as fragile as the January sun, interwoven with sparse, distant, reverb-laden vocals.
