Dedicated to Scott B., Matt D., and Myron W.
lyrics
When your body fell
from the noose you'd made
I didn't hear it land,
but felt it reverberate
throughout my body
and my face went white again
I closed my eyes, closed tight again
And each loss, burns holes in me,
with each loss, I lose a part of me
Three times in three years
I got that call,
and three times, in three years,
I've performed this ritual
this ritual of sacrifice
until it burns, it burns my eyes
And each loss, burns holes in me,
with each loss, I lose a part of me
Yeah, when you breathed your last,
and your life escaped you
a part of me, went with you
yeah, a part of died that day too,
slipped away, into the blue
And each loss, burns holes in me,
with each loss, I lose a part of me
Now I'm left behind,
more alone in this world
to battle with my scars again
and fight my own shadow
but the scars always,
always remain
with these wounds that never heal
life is never the same

I've enjoyed The Wake since the 90s. The new album feels like a trip to right where they left off! Goth Rock at it's best! I can't wait to see where they go from here!! aklosowski22

Hauntingly beautiful, this entire album is a must-listen for all fans of the ethereal, goth and coldwave/darkwave. The mellow, spaced-out and almost melancholic sounds really make this album marvelous. Vajrus
